This privacy notice explains how XplainMaths handles personal information collected through our pre-launch website and early-access waitlist.
Who is responsible for your information?
XplainMaths is operated by Rajan Bisla, trading as XplainMaths (sole trader), who is responsible for personal information collected through this website. For enquiries about privacy, contact xplainmaths@gmail.com.
What information do we collect?
If you choose to join the early-access list, we collect the email address you enter and your confirmation that you agreed to receive launch updates. Our website host may also process technical information needed to operate and protect the website.
How do we use it?
We use your email address for XplainMaths pre-launch, launch and closely related product updates. We rely on your consent for these marketing emails. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us, and launch emails will include an unsubscribe option.
Where is the information stored?
If the website is hosted on Netlify with Netlify Forms enabled, submissions are handled by Netlify and made available to the website owner. You can read Netlify's privacy policy for details of its processing. If our hosting changes, we'll update this notice.
How long do we keep it?
We keep an email address only for as long as necessary for relevant launch communications, unless a shorter period is required by law or you ask us to delete it. We periodically review and remove old or unnecessary waitlist data.
Your choices and rights
You may ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, and you can withdraw consent to receive updates. Email xplainmaths@gmail.com. If you're in the UK, you can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Remembering repeat signups
After a successful waitlist submission, this website may save a one-way fingerprint derived from the email address in your browser’s local storage. We use it only to recognise repeat signup attempts from the same browser and avoid accidental duplicates. We do not store the original email address in that browser setting. You can clear it by clearing this site’s stored data. It does not check signups made on other devices.
Maths challenge and theme demo
The optional multiple-choice maths challenge and theme roulette run in your browser. The questions you answer, any demo spins you earn and unlocked website themes are not saved to an account or to browser storage by this demo. Refreshing the page restarts the quiz and the opportunity to earn up to three spins so you can practise again. This is separate from the early-access signup, which uses browser storage only to help recognise repeat email submissions.
Cookies
This landing page does not intentionally set analytics or advertising cookies. Our hosting provider may use essential technical measures for website security and operation. If we add analytics or marketing tools, we'll update this notice and any required cookie controls.
